Tax Supervisor

Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Tax Supervisor to join our client's CPA firm. As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. You will also be responsible for providing tax planning and consulting services to clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.

• Supervise and review the work of tax team members
• Prepare and review complex individual income tax and business tax returns
• Review responses to IRS and state taxing authority letters and notices
• Review state and local excise and personal property returns
• Review federal and state payroll returns
• Review client bookkeeping
• Complete year-end and other tax planning services
• Oversee and complete complex tax research projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of tax experience, preferably in a CPA firm
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively supervise and mentor junior staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
