Job Description
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8-hour shift with varying start and end-times between 8:30 am and 8:00 pm. Remote work is possible if Wi‑fi is available, but the role is primarily on-site. International or overseas candidates will not be considered.
Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred
Location: Rochester Hills, MI
This position is responsible for working in Accounts Receivable and reports directly to the Credit Manager.
Responsibilities- Make collection calls, answer phone calls (large volume)
- Process and post payments from checks, ACH, credit cards, Lockbox and wire
- Approve and release customer orders held for credit review
- Review credit scores with DNBi on current and new accounts
- Resolve payment inquiries from customers
- Compose refund request letters
- Assist in the month‑end statement process
- Work in compliance with the established company policies and procedures, with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- All other duties as assigned by the manager
- Possess a genuine interest in the field of accounting

- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills

- Adept at speaking to customers and employees with tact and courtesy
- Ability to work in a structured environment and meet deadlines

- Willing to sit 75% of the day at a computer
- Ability to work 8‑hour shifts with varying start and end-times between 8:30 am and 8:00 pm
- Accounting or related qualification;
Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred - At least three years’ experience in accounts receivable/bookkeeping and knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- AS400 a plus (will train if needed)

8‑hour shift between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm plus 1–2 days per week, including special hours supporting West Coast operations.
Monday to Friday; no weekends.
