Job Description
Audit Senior Associate – responsible for leading audit engagements and advancing client relationships across a broad range of commercial services industry verticals.
Responsibilities- Run client engagements from start to finish, handling financial statement preparation, internal staffing, project scheduling and budgeting, engagement planning, and related administrative functions.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on audit processes and assess staff performance during engagement reviews.
- Maintain outstanding client relationships, increasing customer satisfaction and collaborating with client management and staff at all levels to perform audit services.
- Work with audit teams to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit process.
- Research and analyze financial statements and audit issues using electronic databases and audit software to review and compile financial information.
- Engage key client management to collect information, resolve audit-related problems, and recommend business and process improvements.
- 2+ years of recent and relevant public accounting external audit experience.
- Experience in external audit with Energy, Oil & Gas, Food & Commodities, Metals, Supply Chain, Cannabis, Healthcare, Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Consumer Markets, Life Sciences, Real Estate & Construction, and Manufacturing clients.
- Strong organization, social, technical, accounting, and auditing skills to work efficiently with clients and staff and to build positive relationships.
- Experience with engagement management, reviews, and staff supervision.
- Ability to multi‑task, managing planning, execution, and wrap‑up of multiple engagements concurrently.
- Ability to research technical matters before submitting for manager review.
- Education requirement for CPA certification in the candidate’s aligned home office state; CPA license in that state preferred.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites.
