Assistant Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

Compensation: $21/hour

Hybrid – Primarily remote with 1–2 in-office days per week.

FourPoint Business is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Bookkeeper to support our growing bookkeeping division. This is an entry-level role focused on accurate and timely transaction management, classification, and reconciliations using Quick Books Online. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Bookkeeping, with all work reviewed prior to client delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, values precision, and consistently follows established processes.
Key Responsibilities- Enter, classify, and reconcile financial transactions in Quick Books Online
- Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and categorization
- Maintain organized and accurate digital financial records
- Support the Director of Bookkeeping with preparation for client reports and deliverables
- Utilize to manage tasks, deadlines, and workflow progress
- Identify and elevate discrepancies, missing information, or unusual financial activity to leadership
- 1+ year of experience using Quick Books (business or firm setting preferred)
- Basic understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry
- Ability to follow structured processes consistently and reliably
- Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm, especially in a multi-client environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload independently in a remote setting
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Dependable, consistent, and process-driven
- Comfortable performing routine and structured tasks
- Communicates clearly and proactively when issues arise
