Tax Certified Public Accountant

The firm is hiring a Tax CPA. Candidates should have 2 to 25 years of tax experience and will be responsible for preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns, ensuring compliance, and researching complex tax issues.

This full‑time, on‑site Tax CPA role is based in Kansas City, MO. The Tax CPA will manage and review business and individual tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and research complex tax issues.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing tax work papers, maintaining accurate documentation, analyzing financial statements for tax implications, and identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation. The role also involves communicating directly with clients, responding to tax notices, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting tax planning throughout the year.

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and pass‑through entities, including experience with tax research tools.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non‑specialists.
• Previous public accounting or multi‑client tax experience; experience supporting small and mid‑sized businesses is highly beneficial.
• Hybrid work schedule: mix of work from home and office; NOT remote.
