Senior Accountant

My client located in Plano, TX is in need of a Senior Accountant / Operations professional. This is a hybrid direct hire opportunity.

Our client is a growing entrepreneurial holding company that oversees multiple businesses and investments. The organization offers a collaborative environment where employees work closely with executive leadership and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across accounting, operations, and strategic initiatives.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Prepare financial reporting packages and support leadership reporting requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities
• Perform multi-entity accounting across the organization and its subsidiaries
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Support payroll processing and benefits administration as needed
• Partner with executive leadership on operational initiatives and business projects
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and operational functions
• Help improve workflows, reporting processes, and scalable infrastructure to support growth
• Analyze financial and operational performance and provide actionable recommendations
• Participate in automation initiatives and system enhancements
• Assist with strategic planning and special projects across multiple business units

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Startup, entrepreneurial, family office, or multi‑entity experience preferred
• CPA designation preferred but not required
