We are currently seeking an experienced professional who has relevant experience in a public accounting environment. Ideal candidates will possess leadership and communication skills with proven experience in the delivery of quality client service. Key attributes sought include the area of financial statement preparation. Part of the position will be daily interaction with clients; answering questions and addressing concerns. Proven accounting experience, along with a good working knowledge of Quick Books is required.
Responsibilities- Preparation of financial statements. This may include: GAAP, OCBOA or non report financials. In addition, we will give preference to candidates with experience in the preparation of compiled and/or reviewed financial statements. Some of the other requirements may be transaction data entry, account reconciliation, general ledger write-up and journal entry preparation as needed
- Effective work‑paper preparation in compliance with firm standards and procedures.
- Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
- Associate's Degree Required and Bachelor's Degree is preferred – CPA or CPA Candidate is a definite plus!
- Relevant experience in a small local public accounting firm preparing financial statements.
- Proven history in delivery of quality client service.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, as well as financial statement software. This should include both Quick Books desktop and online versions.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Team player with a positive -- 'can do' approach.
