- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities
- Organize and review client tax documents and financial records
- Perform basic bookkeeping and monthly accounting services
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with payroll, sales tax, and other compliance filings as needed
- Communicate with clients regarding missing information and tax questions
- Maintain accurate work papers and client files
- Support tax planning and year-end projects
- Work collaboratively with firm owner and staff to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- CTEC, EA or CPA
- 2-3 years of experience in 1040, 1120, 1120S and 1065 tax preparation
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Actively pursuing and EA or CPA if not already one
- Strong technology understanding (Drake Tax, Tax Dome, Office Suite)
Pay & Schedule
- $67,000-$75,000 per year
- Flexible start/stop times outside of tax season
- Hybrid schedule with work from home days soon after start date
- 401K and Health Insurance (after minimum hours)
- Paid holidays and PTO
- License renewal and CPE reimbursements
- Potential for tax season bonuses
