Job Overview

RLD Associates, Inc. is seeking a Home-Based Premium Auditor to independently conduct insurance premium audits in the Columbia, SC area. The position is part-time, paying $40–45 per hour, and requires up to 75% travel.

• Review audit requests and prioritize inventory.
• Schedule workload and make contact with named insureds to arrange appointments.
• Travel to businesses to conduct on-site interviews and examine records.
• Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications to comply with insurance industry standards.
• Prepare written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classifications.

• Ability to work independently.
• Dependable and self‑motivated.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Pleasant yet professional personality.
• Preferred: two‑year degree in accounting or related subject; experience in bookkeeping, payroll preparation, or commercial insurance is considered.
• Reliable transportation for travel requirements.
