PositionSummary
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about accounting to support our corporate accounts payable functions.
The selected candidate will work at our office in Huntsville with a hybrid option of both office and remote work (1-day per week). The person in this role will be primarily responsible for driving the weekly Accounts Payable (AP) cycle.
What You’ll Do- Receive and action AP Invoices from vendors and subcontractors.
- Coordinate approval from budget holders
- Track outstanding invoices to ensure approvals are completed timely
- Import and record invoices in Deltek Costpoint
- Prepare weekly open AP reports for Controller review and payment
- Submit payments to vendors and subcontractors
- Support reviews of travel and expense reports for employee reimbursements
- Assist in monitoring cash inflows for timely cash payment receipts and contact customers when there are payment delays
- Assist in month end close activities including reconciling account balances, creating closing journal entries
- Associate’s degree in accounting is preferred. Equivalent years of accounting‑related coursework can be substituted for a degree.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Joint Travel Regulations codification
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation
