Accounts Receivable Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Associate to support a landscape architect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing, invoicing, and collections processes, and will occasionally assist the Accounts Payable (AP) team as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities- Prepare and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
- Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing, invoicing, and collections activities.
- Assist the Accounts Payable team with processing payments and managing vendor relationships as needed.
- Collaborate with the landscape architect team to ensure accurate project billing and financial reporting.
- Provide regular updates on accounts receivable status to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 2-3+ years of proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and collections.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Experience with Sage 100 ERP is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to assist with AP when needed and willingness to be trained on this.
The work environment is on-site for the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The staff is comprising a senior accountant, billing AR supervisor, billing person, AP person, and this AR role.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
