We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Accounting supervisor to join our team and play a critical role in the quality of the financial information of our subsidiaries located in Brazil
. In this position, you’ll work closely with the Accounting Director and Tax Director (located in Mexico), contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Certified Public Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge, 5+ years of experience with an international enterprise or audit within a Big‑4 firm, ability to work effectively with little supervision, focus on results and excellent ability to follow up, excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
What You’ll Do- Provide truthful and timely monthly balance information for the subsidiaries located in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro).
- Coordinate revenue reporting with the revenue controlling team.
- Ensure revenue‑cost intercompany compliance with contract percentages.
- Analyze monthly P&L variations against previous month, previous year, and budget.
- Supervise the monthly reporting of balance and P&L through One Stream.
- Comply with controls to ensure billing completeness and correctness, including correct application of Brazilian tax rates.
- Supervise bank reconciliations, AR and AP ties versus trial balance and aging analysis.
- Control fixed assets accounting in local currency and USD.
- Analyze aging of provisions of accounts payable and outstanding invoices.
- Analyze provisions of payroll.
- Design, implement, maintain, document, and update accounting and internal control policies and procedures, integrating requirements from other areas (Purchasing, Taxes, Financial Planning, Treasury, etc.).
- Ensure timely compliance of all tax returns based on the calendar and prepare summaries.
- Review the booking of tax provisions and ensure their payment matches; otherwise, ensure adjustments are booked.
- Validate the reasonableness of tax balance accounts.
- Ensure proper bad‑debt reserve computation, posting in local ledger, and reporting.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, 5+ years of experience in a public enterprise or audit within a Big‑4 firm.
- Experience in IFRS, internal control, and taxes.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (desirable).
- Advanced Excel skills.
Hybrid mode: 3 days at office and 2 days home office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
