Accounting Analyst
Midtown Manhattan, NYC (Hybrid, Work from Home and in Office)
Contract / Consulting Role
Our client, a mid-sized Private Equity and Management Consulting firm, is looking to add a Junior Accountant to their growing finance and accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support the accounting team with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and managing AP / AR functions
- Perform financial data analysis using Excel – strong skills with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas are a must
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
- Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments as needed
What we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 1+ years of accounting experience (internships included)
- Familiarity with GAAP and accounting best practices
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- A self-starter who’s detail-oriented, eager to learn, and can be a team contributor
