Staff Accountant

Our client, a leading firm in strategy consulting, is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to support their financial operations and contribute to their continued success. Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $25 - $28/hr
  • Permanent Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 annually, plus a 5% target bonus, paid out each March based on company and individual performance.
Responsibilities
  • Enter and review journal entries related to fixed assets, prepaids, debt, intangible assets, and expenses.
  • Investigate variances in account activity, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Aid in audit preparations by compiling documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Reconcile and maintain schedules for assigned general ledger accounts to facilitate smooth monthly closings.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of balance sheet accounts with proper documentation and support.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on special projects, ad hoc reporting, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of corporate accounting or finance experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel; experience with Net Suite, Concur, SharePoint, and invoicing systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
  • Strong sense of urgency, reliability, and a passion for accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote work.
