Baptist Medical & Dental Mission International / Commissioned International is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to assist with day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping.
The Bookkeeper will help ensure accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and organized support for the finance office.
Responsibilities- Enter bills, deposits, journal entries, and other financial transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate vendor, donor, and project/fund records
- Help prepare reports for internal review
- Organize receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthly close and other finance‑related tasks
- Support the finance team with special projects as needed
- Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using accounting software, i.e., Quick Books, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self‑motivated and able to meet deadlines
- Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
- Position Type: Full-time
- Reports To: Finance / Home Office
