Sr Premium Billing Specialist III
Responsible for accurately balancing and reconciling health plan accounts receivable (AR). Researches, posts, and reconciles cash receipts and AR premiums. The Premium Billing Analyst directs an assigned group. Additionally provides mentorship and guidance to team.

OverviewFull‑time, hybrid position at Sentara Health Plans in Virginia Beach.
Key responsibilities include:
- Balancing and reconciling health plan accounts receivable (AR)
- Researching, posting, and reconciling cash receipts and AR premiums
- Directing an assigned group
- Providing mentorship and guidance to team members
- Managing posting payments, write‑offs, refunds, phone/customer service recoveries
- Utilizing MS Teams, Excel (advanced, pivot tables, spreadsheet creation and development), Outlook, and Workday dashboards
- High school graduate or equivalent
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
- 5 years related experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in accounting, accounts receivable, posting payments, write‑offs, refunds
- Expertise in Excel development/creation (pivot tables, spreadsheets)
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and dashboards
