About the Opportunity
A growing and established organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead its order-to-cash operations and manage a remote AR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys improving processes, driving collections performance, and developing team members.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will oversee billing, collections, cash application, credit management, and accounts receivable operations while partnering cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and aging analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with customer agreements and company policies.
- Monitor receivable aging and proactively manage collection efforts to improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and ensure proper reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Oversee customer credit evaluations, credit limits, and bad debt risk management.
- Manage cash application processes across multiple payment methods including ACH, wire transfers, checks, lockboxes, and online payment portals.
- Lead month-end close activities related to accounts receivable, including reconciliations and bad debt analysis.
- Establish performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and provide coaching and development for team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Partner with sales and operational leaders to improve billing accuracy, customer onboarding, collections performance, and overall customer experience.
- Provide reporting and actionable insights regarding customer payment trends, collection performance, and credit risk.
- Directly manage a team of three full-time and one part-time accounts receivable professionals.
- Provide guidance, accountability, and professional development to a remotely based team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and results-driven performance.

- Payment method conversion and optimization
- Accuracy and timeliness of billing and cash application
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Strong background in collections, cash application, credit management, and AR operations.
- Experience managing remote employees preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence outcomes and collaborate across departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- This is a fully onsite position located in Fairfield, Ohio.
- Occasional overnight travel will be required.
- Comprehensive background check and drug screening required.
