Overview
The Campus Services division within Administrative Services brings together UAA’s portfolio of revenue‑generating enterprises:
Parking Services;
Housing Facilities and Finance;
Campus Dining;
Event Services (which includes the Wendy Williamson Auditorium); the Alaska Airlines Center and Avis Alaska Sports Complex; the UAA ecommerce textbook store; and the Campus Gearshop.
The Human Resources/Fiscal Coordinator supports the daily operations of Campus Services by coordinating recruitment and hiring processes for new and returning employees, serving as a resource to departments on HR policies and procedures, and providing fiscal support to the Senior Fiscal Officer. Duties include assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and other routine financial and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of campus staff.
- Advisory role to departments on University of Alaska HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with daily accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) activities.
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and report financial and HR data.
- Perform general office duties such as word processing, database management, filing, and multi‑line telephone handling.
- Support fiscal and purchasing policy compliance and documentation.
- Associate’s degree in applied accounting or related field and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems (accounts receivable, general ledger, program/activity codes).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google applications.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, exercise independent judgment, and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and capacity to work with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of FERPA and Title IX regulations is required.
- Experience with payroll and personnel procedures is desirable.

- PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance
This full‑time, term‑funded, non‑exempt staff position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. It offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive employee benefits package, including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays, tuition waivers, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
The position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work under the University’s discretion, based on employee location and job duties.
