* The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

What You’ll Do
  • Record, analyze and report financial information and make appropriate inquiries of operations to obtain a broad understanding of the nature of the financial activity.
  • Actively participate with other internal departments to ensure that accounting issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare various accounting entries and reports monthly.
  • Apply analytical thinking to current processes and research unusual items.
  • Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Document accounting treatment for new processes.
  • Complete special assignments entailing high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and quality for the AAA Mid‑Atlantic organization as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry development of standards, e.g., GAAP, IFRS, etc., and communicate the impact of these changes to the supervisor.
  • Provide interim and annual audit assistance as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
  • Two to Three years accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC worksheet applications, word document applications and database related programs, e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Crystal Reports, and SQL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within the organization.
  • Demonstrates accurate numerical ability and high attention to detail.
