The Senior Accountant role applies principles of accounting and statistical analysis in order to maintain control and accountability in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Monitors and maintains control of various general ledger accounts, prepares journal entries and detailed reports, prepares financial statements and analyses reflecting financial status and activities. May assist in training or supervising staff accounting personnel. Ensures timely accurate processing of account reconciliations, billings, disbursement requests and analyses of accounts in this area.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include applying accounting principles to complex transactions, maintaining control of general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, preparing financial statements and analyses, and ensuring accurate processing of account reconciliations, billings, and disbursement requests.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - License/
Certifications:
CPA, CIA or CMA designation preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of three years of related experience. - Additional Skills/Requirements
