We are seeking a highly experienced and technically advanced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a key role within the organization, requiring an accounting professional with expert‑level knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, account analysis, budgeting, audit preparation, and financial operations.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can independently manage complex accounting functions, identify process improvements, provide financial insights, and serve as a trusted partner to leadership. This position is best suited for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to accuracy, compliance, and financial excellence.
Wage: $75,000–$90,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Review and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analysis and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Oversee intercompany accounting, debt service accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
- Analyze accounts receivable aging, reserves, and related financial risks.
- Process ACH transactions and remote deposits while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Support cash management and financial forecasting activities.
- Partner with leadership to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assist with financial forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning.
- Lead audit preparation efforts and serve as a key liaison with external auditors.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports and support Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational decision‑making.
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions as needed.
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive senior‑level accounting experience with significant general ledger responsibility.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, account analysis, reconciliations, budgeting, and audit support.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting practices.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
- Healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or multi‑entity accounting experience.
- Experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
- Experience with financial systems implementations, process improvement, or audit leadership.
- CPA designation or CPA‑track candidate preferred.
- Reports directly to the Controller.
- Hybrid work environment with both on‑site and remote work opportunities.

- Expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and financial stewardship.
