The HT Group has a financial services client in Austin, TX looking for a Part-Time Accounting Assistant who is detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven to support daily treasury operations, cash reporting, lender reporting, and financial reconciliations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Contract-to-hire

$26-$28/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8/8:30 AM - 12/12:30 PM or 1/1:30 PM

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute daily cash reports, including cash balances, inflows, outflows, and liquidity updates.
  • Compile and submit daily borrowing base calculations by following established procedures and documentation.
  • Prepare and transmit daily verification files to lending partners accurately and on time.
  • Assist with monthly debt facility reporting and lender compliance documentation.
  • Reconcile and maintain reserve accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Support recurring treasury and accounting processes while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, banking, finance, or related administrative experience preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data validation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet recurring deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with financial systems, online banking platforms, and accounting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Quick Books, Salesforce, treasury operations, cash management, reconciliations, or lender reporting is a plus.
Schedule & Perks:
  • 20–25 hours per week
  • In-office Monday through Thursday in Downtown Austin
  • Optional work-from-home Fridays
