Position SummaryThe Grant Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. This role will participate in the full month end process, but particular focus on grant accounting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close
- Manage grant accounting
, including tracking restricted funds, allowable costs, and grant reporting - Prepare and monitor grant budgets; ensure compliance with grant and donor requirements
- Record and reconcile journal entries, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare financial statements, schedules, and reports for management, funders, and auditors
- Support annual audit and 990 preparation
- Process and review AP/AR transactions as needed
- Use Quick Books Online for daily accounting operations
- Assist with ERP system implementation
, including data migration, testing, and process improvements - Ensure compliance with internal controls and nonprofit accounting best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Strong experience with grant accounting and fund accounting
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online
; experience with other ERP systems strongly preferred - Solid understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Experience supporting audits and federal/state grants
