Financial Controller – South Carolina
Evergreen Services Group, a global holding company, is looking for a Financial Controller to lead accounting and finance operations for our South Carolina-based private equity-backed business.
Role Expectations- Lead and manage company finance and accounting initiatives, including budget, audit, and month‑end close processes under U.S. GAAP.
- Manage daily accounting functions:
General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Collections, Monthly Reconciliations, Sales and Use Tax, and other needed processes. - Lead and manage Accounting Operations, implement systems and processes, pursue special projects, and maintain SOPs.
- Own financial reporting for internal, corporate, and peer‑group requirements.
- Own basic HR functions including benefits administration, group insurance, and new hire onboarding.
- Play a hands‑on role in customer billing, monthly and annual price changes, billing‑related incentives and commissions.
- Liaise with key business relationships such as banking, landlords, vendors, and suppliers.
- Will work Eastern hours and report to the CEO in South Carolina.

- 6+ years of accounting experience with strong financial statement preparation, multi‑entity consolidation, and GAAP compliance.
- Public accounting experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Proven ability to identify and correct data anomalies for accurate reporting.
- Strong communication skills to present financial insights to finance leaders.
- Experience leading or supporting financial audits and meeting tax requirements.
- Enthusiasm to scale an organization and thrive in a high‑growth setting.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000, based on qualifications and experience.
