RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other business entities.
- Manage multiple tax engagements while ensuring accuracy and meeting filing deadlines.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to support client compliance and planning.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, answer tax-related questions, and provide exceptional service.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to help clients optimize financial outcomes.
- Support clients with multi-state and international tax matters as applicable.
- Collaborate with internal team members to resolve complex tax issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax standards.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other technology tools to analyze financial data and prepare tax work papers.
- Stay current on changing tax legislation and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 4–7 years of professional tax accounting experience.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a public accounting/CPA firm environment.
- CPA license preferred or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
