Position Summary
Tax Manager – responsible for leading client relationships and preparing, reviewing, and delivering income tax returns, tax projections, and analysis for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and businesses. The role emphasizes client service in a supportive environment without audit, assurance, or business development duties.
Essential Job Functions- Prepare, review, and sign tax returns for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and businesses
- Create quarterly estimates and projections
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients on all matters related to the delivery of income tax returns
- Perform tax research and respond to tax questions, estimates, projections, and analysis in a timely and accurate manner
- Respond to tax notices and review corresponding correspondence with tax staff
- Stay up to date on tax law changes and communicate the effects to clients
- Mentor a team of Senior Tax Associates, Tax Associates, and/or Tax Support Specialists as assigned
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of tax code and general accounting skills
- CPA and/or EA required;
Master’s degree in Tax a plus - Experience with CCH, including Axcess, Workflow, Practice, and Safe Send, a plus
- Highly organized, tax‑oriented, and able to handle a large volume of activities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain concepts to clients and advisors in a concise and understandable fashion
- Detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management skills
Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM;
Saturdays as needed during tax season. May require early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines. Position may be performed in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office with basic technology provided.
$106,000—$125,000 USD
