Job Overview
The Private Client Service Senior Tax Manager role requires the oversight of multiple client service teams and the proven ability to plan, direct, execute and complete tax consulting projects and compliance efforts across a variety of engagements.
Responsibilities- Economically and efficiently manage projects including billing and accounts receivable responsibilities.
- Conduct technical review of federal and state income tax returns for individual, fiduciary, partnership, and S corp. clients, along with review of gift tax filings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients.
- Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed.
- Manage, develop, and mentor staff/managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback.
- Maintain an active presence in the market to drive growth and attract new clients.
- BS in Accounting preferred, Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
- Experience working with the tax team to identify and resolve client issues.
- Ability to anticipate and address client concerns and resolve problems as they arise.
- Proven success in engagement and client management, with a track record of growing and sustaining client relationships.
- Strong technical expertise in federal taxation of individuals, trusts, and investment entities. Estate and gift tax experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership and mentorship experience.
- Effective writing, communication and tax research skills.
The role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
Compensation: $ - $ per year, based on skill sets, experience, licensed certifications, and organizational needs.
