Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsible for processing and managing the organization’s accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements, and working closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve payment processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process invoices, check requisitions, and expense/procurement reports, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Serve as primary liaison with Business Lines for all AP services.
- Maintain business relationships with internal and external customers to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle post‑processing of checks, including enclosure matching, departmental phone calls, interoffice mailings, and maintain a call pick‑up log.
- Complete special projects/tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate vendor files, including W‑9 documentation and payment details.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Business or equivalent.
- 4–6 years of experience in an automated AP environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- PC literacy in Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Competitive hourly base compensation ($21.55–$30.31/hour).

Full‑time, work from home or remote; primary residence must be within AAA’s operating footprint (Washington DC and 13 states). Hybrid schedule includes 3 days on site weekly.
