Billing Specialist

As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role on the Financial Operations team, ensuring the completeness and integrity of financial records. Your primary responsibility is to reconcile financial transactions and accounts, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain the financial health of the company. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

• Perform routine reconciliations of financial records, including bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger accounts.
• Identify and resolve basic discrepancies in financial data, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and maintain organized records and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing standard financial reports and summaries for internal use.
• Follow internal controls and company policies to support compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support day‑to‑day accounting operations.
• Explore opportunities for process automation and implement tools or systems to enhance efficiency in reconciliation tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and basic financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Great Plains is a plus.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the finance and accounting field.

The base salary range for this position is between $61,920 and $64,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness, 401(k) matching, Open PTO, remote work flexibility, generous parental leave, and more.
