Backed by top-tier investors, the company is leveraging technology and automation to transform the way individuals access and engage with personalized health services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, gaining exposure well beyond a traditional accounting role. In addition to owning core GL accounting, month-end close, accruals, and prepaid activities, you'll play an active role in driving process improvements and helping modernize the accounting function through automation and AI.
They're looking for someone who's naturally curious, enjoys improving processes, and is excited by the opportunity to help build a scalable accounting infrastructure alongside a collaborative, high-growth team. The role is based in NYC and follows a very flexible hybrid schedule (typically 1-2 days in office).
Responsibilities- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, maintain general ledger activity, and perform account reconciliations
- Own the accounts payable process, including invoice review and coding, payment processing, vendor management, and ensuring timely and accurate month-end accruals.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses for management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and other financial planning activities
- Support the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and coordinating with external auditors
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance reporting capabilities
- Partner cross-functionally with departments across the organization to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial data
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and other accounting responsibilities in a dynamic, growing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–5 years in accounting or finance operations
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting systems
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working across teams
