Junior Accountant

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our client to support accurate financial operations and day to day accounting processes. This temporary, onsite opportunity is based in Cherry Hill, NJ and offers a structured environment with the opportunity for remote work on Fridays after initial training. The role focuses on maintaining financial accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to efficient accounting workflows.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with detailed financial data in a fast paced setting and is eager to grow within accounting and finance.

$20.00 to $29.00 per hour

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

• Process and manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile accounts, review financial records, and investigate discrepancies while maintaining compliance with established accounting standards
• Support month end and year end closing activities through journal entries, reporting, and account analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve billing issues, respond to inquiries, and maintain positive working relationships
• Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying efficiencies, assisting with reporting needs, and supporting ongoing accounting initiatives

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, with flexibility for candidates who demonstrate strong aptitude and motivation
• Prior experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a fast paced or high transaction environment, with openness to developing professionals
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems, with the ability to work with large data sets and reporting tools
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles combined with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Effective communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
