About this position
Entrada Partners’ in‑house property management team oversees a dynamic portfolio of industrial, office, and flex assets across Texas. We are looking for a detail‑oriented and organized Accountant to join our team and provide essential support to ensure smooth property operations. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting functions related to property management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
This role requires experience in real estate or property management accounting.
This role is on‑site Monday through Thursday in Addison, Texas with the option to work from home on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the review and completion of annual CAM reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain financial records for a portfolio of properties, including general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process monthly journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and tenant ledgers, ensuring accurate records of rent collections and expenses.
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for assigned properties.
- Support property managers with financial inquiries and reporting needs.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, lease agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide requested financials and supporting documents to external auditors and tax professionals.
- Participate in process improvements and system enhancements to optimize efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
