Tax Manager DIRECT HIRE

Location:

Canby, OR
• Pay: $120,000–$140,000 DOE


Schedule:

Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Hybrid/Flexible Schedule Available)

What You’ll Do:

Lead the planning, preparation, and review of individual and business tax returns. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategic financial decisions. Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through exceptional service. Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Mentor, train, and develop staff while providing technical guidance and leadership. Manage workflow, project deadlines, and client deliverables during busy tax seasons.

Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and business growth. Identify planning opportunities that create value for clients while minimizing tax exposure. Support continuous process improvements and contribute to the firm's long‑term success.

What You Need to Have:
  • CPA license in active standing
  • 7–10+ years of public accounting experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax returns
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and planning strategies
  • Experience reviewing the work of other tax professionals
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Leadership experience mentoring, coaching, and developing staff
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with Lacerte, Pro System fx Engagement, Quick Books, and Practice CS is highly preferred
