Client Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities- Client Accounting Specialist I
- Conducts weekly and monthly invoicing of self‑administered groups—including claims, administrative fees, stop loss premium, commissions, manual invoice adjustments, queries, analysis, and supplementary schedules.
- Reviews contracts, group rates, and terms set up in the invoicing system.
- Performs weekly and monthly monitoring of specific and aggregate stop‑loss settlements, annual stop‑loss settlements and ERISA filing information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Client Accounting Specialist II
- Conducts weekly and monthly invoicing of self‑administered groups—claims, administrative fees, stop loss premium, commissions, manual invoice adjustments, queries, analysis, and supplementary schedules.
- Reviews contracts, group rates, and terms set up in the invoicing system.
- Performs weekly and monthly monitoring of specific and aggregate stop‑loss settlements, annual stop‑loss settlements and ERISA filing information.
- Performs monthly and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to internal departments including Underwriting, Performance and Sales.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Sr Client Accounting Specialist
- Conducts weekly and monthly invoicing of self‑administered groups—claims, administrative fees, stop loss premium, commissions, manual invoice adjustments, queries, analysis, and supplementary schedules.
- Reviews contracts, group rates, and terms set up in the invoicing system.
- Performs weekly and monthly monitoring of specific and aggregate stop‑loss settlements, annual stop‑loss settlements and ERISA filing information.
- Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Performs monthly and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to internal departments including Underwriting, Performance and Sales.
- Trains new employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Client Accounting Specialist I
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience and training).
- At least 6 months of professional experience in accounting or billing.
- Proficient computer skills; intermediate MS Office, including Access or other database programs.
- Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to learn accounting rules and concepts and apply appropriate accounting standards.
- Client Accounting Specialist II
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of progressive experience as a Client Accounting Specialist I, or comparable experience in accounting or billing.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Access or other database programs.
- Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of accounting rules and concepts and ability to apply appropriate accounting standards.
- Sr Client Accounting Specialist
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of progressive experience as a Client Accounting Specialist I or II, or equivalent experience in accounting or billing.
- Proficient computer skills; intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Access.
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting rules and concepts; ability to apply appropriate accounting standards.
- Ability to give instruction, guidance, and direction to others in training.
- Equipment provided: laptop, monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset.
- Option to work remotely within the state of Ohio.
