Healthcare Tax Manager

Job Overview

Withum’s Tax Services Group is seeking a Healthcare Tax Manager to work across multiple office locations. In this role you will lead all aspects of tax engagements, supervise staff, and build client relationships within the healthcare industry.

• Coordinate with the healthcare services group tax team on the review and filing of annual tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120‑S, etc.).
• Manage various tax consulting special projects.
• Attend professional tax webinars and industry presentations.
• Provide day‑to‑day tax assistance to healthcare clients.
• Support and coordinate with the group’s audit and consulting teams.
• Contribute to staff development and growth of the firm’s healthcare niche practice.

Hybrid, with a mix of remote work and in‑office presence at the selected office location.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license, JD, or Master of Science in Taxation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a public‑accounting tax department with leadership of multiple engagements and staff supervision.
• Strong analytical and technical tax skills.
• Excellent client‑service, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Organizational, project‑management skills, and strong attention to detail.

• Base salary ranges by location (illustrative):
  
  California: $135,000 – $210,000
  Chicago: $125,000 – $160,000
  New Jersey: $105,000 – $190,000
  New York City: $110,000 – $180,000
