Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical temporary Logistics Invoice Audit Specialist to support our transportation and logistics operations through invoice auditing and billing verification. This temporary position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong Excel skills, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy and compliance.
LocationTaconic Biosciences is seeking a temporary Logistics Invoice Audit Specialist to join our Distribution team in this approximate 3 month assignment. This position is expected to work onsite at our Germantown, New York facility 3 days per week and remote from a home office 2 days per week.
Pay Range$22.18 - $24.50/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.

In this role, you will review transportation invoices, validate billing information against operational records, and help identify discrepancies to ensure accurate payment processing and contract compliance.
Core Responsibilities- Audit weekly transportation invoices for accuracy and adherence to contracted pricing.
- Review billed transportation routes against weekly manifests to verify order counts and Transportation Temperature Containers (TTCs) associated with each route.
- Confirm that route charges align with approved contract rates and pricing agreements.
- Identify billing discrepancies and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate audit records and supporting documentation.
- Create and manage Excel-based tracking tools, reports, and reconciliation spreadsheets.
- Analyze invoice and route data to support accurate financial and operational reporting.
- Associate degree, technical program completion, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation, formulas, data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Experience working with numerical data and conducting audits or reconciliations.
- Ability to develop organized tracking systems and reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably doing the work, with some walking; standing; bending; carrying of items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile; etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
