The Client Accounting Services (CAS) Staff Accountant provides accounting support to Boyum Barenscheer’s external clients by accurately recording, classifying, and reconciling financial transactions to maintain reliable financial records. This role also involves performing routine financial analysis, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Enter and reconcile financial transactions in client accounting software, ensuring accuracy across bank, loan,and credit card statements.

Calculate,record, and document prepaid expenses, accruals, interest, and depreciation.

Utilize technology and automation tools to streamline data entry and adjustments, integrating client and firm software when applicable.

Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information.

Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.

Prepare and file salestaxand other required tax returns based on client needs.

Working on projects by tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and following through on key initiatives.

Record time entry daily to maintain accurate billing and project tracking.

Maintain a well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, payroll and sales tax.

2-yearaccountingdegree preferred.

Minimum2years’accounting experience preferred.

Public accounting experience preferred.

Minimum of2years’ experience with Quick Books Online preferred .

16hours of continuing education annually.

Proficiency with computer software,including Office 365.

Some local travel is required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Required to sit for long periods.

Extensive computer, keyboard, and mouse use.

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range: $24-$28 per hour

The stated salary range reflects compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final offers will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location.
