Location: New York
A well-established and rapidly growing boutique real estate investment firm in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of both residential and commercial properties who is looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Reconcile accounts and perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities for assigned properties
- Prepare financial reports as required for regulatory and/or management reporting purposes
- Prepare funding requests and provide financial information to lending institutions
- Support financial statement audits and tenant audits
- Review vendor invoices to ensure proper coding
- Facilitate payment of vendor invoices
- Assist in monthly tenant billing process
- Review and input development budgets into Yardi
- Review and approve contracts and change orders entered into Yardi
- Review development costs against project commitments
- Track, analyze and report project costs
- Reconcile project costs to budget and facilitate variance analysis
- Reconcile between general ledger and job cost systems
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 4+ years of related experience required
- Experience in accounting and financial systems, preferably Yardi
- Proficient in Excel and knowledge of other Microsoft Office Applications
Base Salary: $100,000- $120,000 plus bonus, fully paid medical benefits and 401k.
