About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Auditor who enjoys working directly with clients and taking ownership of engagements from planning through completion. This role is ideal for someone with several years of public accounting experience who is looking to expand their client-facing responsibilities while mentoring junior staff and continuing to grow professionally.
The position offers exposure to a diverse client base with a strong presence in agribusiness, nonprofit, and commercial organizations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout engagements.
- Build strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and proactive communication.
- Supervise, review, and mentor junior audit staff.
- Collaborate with managers and partners to develop engagement strategies and resolve complex audit matters.
- Prepare and review financial statements and related work papers.
- Manage multiple engagements while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 4+ years of recent public accounting audit experience with demonstrated client-facing responsibilities.
- Experience leading client conversations and managing engagement responsibilities.
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with agribusiness, nonprofit, or governmental clients is a plus.
