The NYC Department of Finance, Business Tax Adjustment Unit, seeks detail‑oriented accountants to manage business tax accounts by reviewing tax returns, resolving billing and payment discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with New York City tax laws.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will respond to taxpayer inquiries, process account updates (penalty abatements, credit transfers, line item adjustments), coordinate with other units, and support system testing and staff training.
