Incendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. Although the internal title is Senior Financial Analyst, this is a corporate accounting position focused on technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, with opportunities to support strategic financial analysis and process improvements. Compensation:
Up to approximately $130,000 plus annual bonus and industry-leading retirement contributions.

- Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting analyses
- Assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
- Prepare accounting memoranda and technical documentation
- Support adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance
- Assist with SOX compliance and disclosure controls
- Partner with finance and business leaders on complex transactions
- Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or public company financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- SOX and financial reporting experience preferred
