Grants & Contracts Specialist II (Post-Award)
An excellent opportunity to join the Department of Surgery Research Administration team, this position will be responsible for post-award research administration processes for a multi-million-dollar federal contract. Individuals with a CRA are preferred.
Job Summary:
Performs post-award accounting duties for moderately complex grants and contracts. Monitors account activity, performs internal audits, resolves routine issues, and provides policy and procedure interpretation. Prepares routine financial reports and government reports. Recommends operational improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Performs post award accounting duties and financial analysis for a multi million dollar federal contract.
- Monthly reporting, budget monitoring and preparation, and processing invoices for subcontractors, consultants and service agreements.
- Experience in the Panther Express system, Concur system, PERIS/My Funding system, Tableau and Fiscal Panther is preferred. Certified Research Administrator (CRA) preferred.
Physical Effort:
Position requires sitting at a computer for long periods of time. Ability to attend on campus meetings when necessary which may require walking around the Oakland campus.
