Senior Mining Accountant (FULLY REMOTE)

The Senior Accountant – Group Finance serves as a key contributing member of the broader Group Finance function while also providing accounting and finance support to the Company's United States operations, including accounting support for the President of US Operations. The role is responsible for leading assigned Group accounting, reporting, consolidation, audit, budgeting, forecasting and finance improvement activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Working closely with the Group Accounting & Reporting Manager, VP Finance Operations and broader finance team, the position provides flexible accounting and analytical capability to advance business priorities, reporting requirements and operational objectives. The role serves as an important link between the Company's US operations and the broader global finance organization.

Group Accounting & Reporting

• Lead assigned Group accounting, reporting and consolidation activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Key contributor to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deliverables and reconciliation schedules.
• Lead assigned intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Assist with preparation of financial information for management, executive and Board reporting requirements.
• Lead assigned finance projects and ad hoc reporting initiatives across the Group.
• Lead assigned accounting activities across Group entities during periods of peak workload and business change.

Audit, Controls & Compliance

• Coordinate assigned internal and external audit activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Key contributor to audit requests, documentation gathering and issue resolution.
• Lead implementation of assigned audit recommendations and control improvements.
• Maintain documentation supporting financial controls, governance and compliance activities.
• Lead assigned compliance activities related to applicable accounting, corporate and regulatory requirements.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead assigned budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Contribute to financial modelling, operational analysis and performance reporting.
• Prepare quality financial analysis and commentary to support management decision-making.
• Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators.
• Lead assigned special projects and business initiatives as required.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Administer and lead assigned SAP finance module activities for US entities.
• Lead assigned administration, maintenance and continuous improvement activities for FCCS (consolidation tool) and related Group reporting systems.
• Lead assigned finance reporting systems, data integrity and reporting processes.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Promote automation, standardization and reporting efficiencies across the finance organization.
• Lead assigned finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives.

US Accounting & Financial Operations

• Lead month-end accounting activities for US-based entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll-related processes.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting and related registers.
• Lead assigned compliance activities related to US tax, reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Provide accounting and finance support to the President of US Operations, including reporting, cost visibility and ad hoc analysis as required.
• Lead assigned financial management, cost control and care and maintenance activities associated with the mine, as required.

Finance Business Partnering

• Build strong working relationships across US, Finnish, Brazilian and Australian finance teams.
• Lead assigned collaboration between operational and corporate finance stakeholders.
• Lead assigned strategic initiatives, finance projects and business priorities.

Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the finance organization.
