Position Summary
Eccezion is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Accountant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in bookkeeping or general accounting who enjoys working with a variety of clients and helping businesses maintain accurate financial records.
As a member of our CAS team, you’ll partner with clients across multiple industries, providing day-to-day accounting support while building trusted relationships and delivering exceptional service. This position offers a flexible hybrid/remote work environment, with our primary office located in McHenry, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple clients
- Process payroll
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Communicate with clients to gather information and answer accounting-related questions
- Collaborate with internal team members to provide exceptional client service
- Assist with additional bookkeeping and accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Associate’s degree with relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience will also be considered
- 1–3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience preferred
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quick Books experience is a plus)
- CPA designation is not required
