POSITION SUMMARY
:
This position is part of the Accounting team here at Zumiez in Lynnwood, WA and is a key member responsible for timely and successful monthly, quarterly and year end closing of the financial statements and financial analysis for our international entities (in Europe and Australia).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for functional accounting processes, including preparation of general ledger reconciliations, supporting schedules and journal entries. The accounting will be performed in foreign General Ledger (“GL”) systems.
- Assist in maintaining accounting documentation and internal controls.
- Assist in global consolidation of financial results and preparation of cash flows.
- Work with external/internal auditors in managing company requests.
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
- Partner with other Zumiez internal departments (global and domestic) to ensure reporting and accounting needs are met.
- Execute projects successfully within the timeframe of the project plan and create clear lines of communication throughout process.
- Maintain reporting software tools (Workday/Adaptive, CoStar) reporting and identify opportunities for further optimization of application.
- Prepare accounting position and control deficiency documentation as necessary.
- Engage in people management as a teacher of the larger department.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management, ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel
- Experience in accounting and leasing platforms, specifically SAGE and CoStar, a plus.
EXPERIENCE and
EDUCATION:
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability in accounting and working knowledge of US GAAP
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or related field
- CPA or demonstrated progression towards CPA or equivalent designation preferred

BENEFITS:
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000/year
