Kforce has an outstanding growing client that is seeking to hire an Accountant (Tax and Audit) in Worcester, Massachusetts (MA).
Summary:
This client is an excellent growing accounting firm (less than 10 years old), and they thrive on their great company culture. Many of the clients are business owners and the firm has a very strong non-profit/mission driven clientele mix. The tax work primarily supports the business owners, their families, and related charitable entities. This client offers a great compensation package, and work/life balance.
This position is hybrid, the team works together 3 days weekly in office, the remainder are work from home.
- Support client engagements through planning, execution, and reporting activities
- Manage assigned projects and assist with resolving business and compliance-related matters
- Apply financial, operational, and regulatory knowledge to support organizational objectives
- Analyze processes and controls to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and review financial and operational documentation
- Conduct testing and evaluations to support compliance and internal standards
- Research technical and business-related topics using available resources
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years of public accounting experience with audit and/or tax exposure
- CPA/MST or path toward certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of (GAAP) and IFRS), familiarity with auding standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Technical proficiency in Quick Books, CCH Profx Engagement or CCH Axcess
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ability to work effectively in teams and interact with cross-functional departments
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work and environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
