The
Staff Accountant
is responsible for a variety of accounting functions including approving payables, preparing, and posting journal entries, completing monthly variance reporting, and performing month-end closing processes including balance sheet reconciliations. This position also requires effective communication with a remote General Manager and Office Manager on a routine basis. This is a full-time position and reports to the Controller.

• Reviewing and approving accounts payable transactions
• Own and support the month-end close process including preparing and posting adjusting entries
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations
• Understand and apply capitalization policies when reviewing payables
• Analytically review monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Support day-to-day accounting functions at various park locations
• Participate in other projects and activities as assigned

• 2+ year of experience or industry-specific education required
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for reporting
• Good attitude and work ethic with strong attention to detail
• Results-oriented, critical thinking, sound decision-making, and time management skills
• Strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Follows through on projects to successful completion, meeting deadlines
