Accounts Payable Specialist

Schedule: Hybrid – Work from home on Wednesdays

Connect Search is partnering with a growing company within the oil and gas industry is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances
• Assist with month-end close, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Partner with internal departments to resolve outstanding AP items

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience
• Experience working in a high-volume AP environment
• Oil and gas, energy, or industrial industry experience preferred
  
  Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders, and vendor management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
