* * to support the college's financial operations through accurate bank reconciliations, cash management, financial reporting, and account analysis. This position serves as a primary resource for banking-related accounting functions while providing backup support for fixed asset accounting. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

** This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, 52 weeks out of the year. Primary office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. This hybrid position works in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays with the opportunity to work remotely the other days of the week. Remote work subject to change in accordance with Madison College policy.

*** Accountabilities:
*** Prepares and analyzes daily bank reports and transactions ensuring accuracy and proper documentation for financial records. Processes other annual reports accordingly.
* Supports the completion of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and regulatory reporting including Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) submissions to ensure effective and accurate completion.
* Provides backup for the registration and monitoring of the life cycle of fixed assets, assigns asset tags, and ensures appropriate classification of assets, including subscription-based information technology arrangements (SBITAs), movable equipment, software, and building or remodeling projects. Performs reconciliations of fixed assets to accounts and funds, encompassing additions, disposals, and adjustments to net book value (NBV), in support of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
* Manages account reconciliations ensuring proper allocation and correction of expenses, payroll adjustments and other financial entries.
* Processes settlements/payments and ensures ACH information is received and confirmed.
* Reviews and submits journal entries with supporting documentation ensuring compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations.
* Reconciles ledger accounts.
* Manages monthly sales tax compliance and reporting submission to the Department of Revenue.
* Collaborates with external auditors to facilitate annual financial audits and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
