Veta Virtual is hiring a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in the fintech and cryptocurrency industry — a rapidly growing company that operates a nationwide network of digital currency ATMs, alongside OTC trading, online crypto purchasing, and digital wallet services.

As a Senior Accountant
, you'll play a critical role in supporting the accounting operations behind a high-volume, multi-channel cryptocurrency business. You will help ensure accuracy and compliance across a complex, fast-moving operation, and deliver the financial insight that helps leadership make sound decisions. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage reconciliations at scale, support digital asset accounting, and help strengthen processes in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
- 'Managing the full accounting cycle for the business, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.'
- Reconciling cash and transaction activity across a large, distributed network of digital currency kiosks, partnering with operations and cash logistics teams to resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Supporting accounting for digital asset transactions, including tracking transaction volume and gains/losses across multiple revenue channels such as kiosk sales, OTC trading, online purchases, and digital wallet activity.
- Making sound financial judgments in a fast-paced, high-transaction-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Integrating and optimizing accounting tools and systems to keep pace with a rapidly scaling, multi-location business.
- Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor relationships.
- Supporting compliance and reporting requirements tied to operating as a licensed money services business, partnering with the compliance team on regulatory financial reporting as needed — training will be provided if this is new to you.
- Leveraging tools such as Quick Books Online (or similar cloud accounting software), Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, and Google Drive daily.
- Staying current on emerging technologies and AI applications that can enhance accounting efficiency.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S.
-based companies (CPA certification preferred). - Proven success managing full-cycle accounting in a high-transaction-volume or multi-location business environment.
- Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end close skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities across multiple business lines.
- Experience making informed financial judgments in fast-paced, high-growth business settings.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency, digital assets, or working within a regulated financial services / money services business environment is a strong plus — not required. The client is open to training the right candidate on these requirements.
- Essential: cloud-based accounting software such as Quick Books Online (or similar), Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Drive.
- Highly desirable: experience with cash management or treasury reconciliation tools, given the scale of a nationwide kiosk network.
- Bonus: exposure to cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, or crypto-specific accounting platforms.
- Awareness of AI use cases in accounting (a plus).
- Full professional fluency in English (written & verbal), with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance professionals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across digital channels, with a habit of providing clear context in asynchronous updates.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with excellent time management, organization, and independent problem-solving skills.
- High sense of ownership, openness to feedback, and adaptability to changing priorities in a remote, fast-growing environment.
- Integrity, curiosity, and a strong bias toward action — especially important in an industry that moves and evolves quickly.
- To be considered for this role, you must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
